Tracking an apartment with my baby

I signed all of the necessary paperwork at the Town Talk, making me an official employee starting Jan. 7. So I have nearly a month to relax and visit friends and family.

Wrong.

Amy has decided that she can no longer stay in Natchitoches, so we are doing pre-Christmas apartment hunting. We have already put in the notice that we are moving out of our old apartment on Dec. 17.

This would be fine if it weren't for the fact that every good apartment becomes available at the beginning of the year. After all, who moves out before the holidays?
