If you have the latest iPad and the fastest data or wifi speeds available on Earth, don't bother with the HBO Go app. It sucks on a level that doesn't make it worth the three seconds it takes to download. I say that with some exceptions. Older folks who grew up listening to radio plays will not mind that half of an episode reverts to audio stream only. Particularly during action sequences. Also, people with extreme memory problems will also love how it chooses to randomly and seamlessly rewind some scenes 15-30 seconds, allowing you to really soak up what just happened. There might even be some masochists who will enjoy the heartbreak of thinking you can fit in an episode of The Sopranos or Game of Thrones during their lunch break only to get teased with about 20 minutes of content with 40 minutes of freezing, restarting and - inevitably - weeping. But I guess the head of every major entertainment entity has the burden of finding a way to employ his or her dumbass nephew. Why not let him to design a laughably inadequate app?
