How do you measure a year?

More importantly, how would a production of "Rent" handle this song in a year like this?

You know, with the extra day and all. 527,040 minutes doesn't seem to fit the rhythm as well.

Of course, this is all a moot point considering there are roughly 525,949 minutes in a year over a 400-calendar year period. Again, not as musical and not as easy to check the math.

Whether in minutes, hours, blog posts, emails or meals, a year can feel like a very long time and yet seem to pass overnight upon review. Depends on the context as with most things.
