Yes. People are annoying. The formula of number of people in a confined space to annoyance factor is often directly proportional.
Yet, something about cramming into a line at the mall during the holidays seems to flatten the slope at which the annoyance factor reaches critical mass. We are all here for the same reason I guess, so we more readily overlook each other's shortcomings.
But the few that do flip out in that scenario then become the enemies of the many who have gathered peacefully. And thus, they must be dealt with properly: by shun. Merciless shun.
