So that's when I left the office. And as I did, I saw this big fella making his way across the parking lot toward the door. Looking for karma brownie points, I decide to hold the door until he passes through it and into the building.
"Thank you very much, sir," he tells me.
"No problem, Ed," I reply.
He looks at me with a slightly bewildered look on his face. It's obvious he wants to ask how I know him while simultaneously trying to remember who I am. I smile and shut the door.
Kind of hard to miss the giant, yellow SUV he climbed out of with the vanity plate inscription "Ed's Hummer" on the front.
