Suspense plays a dual role a lot of times. On the one hand, we hate it. It keeps us waiting. Waiting to hear when you have met a goal set months ago. Waiting to find out where you are going to end up for the next four years. Waiting to see if the people at the doughnut shop will ever get their act together so you can make it to your scheduled breakfast meeting at a home health office.
Yet on the other hand, not knowing is part of the fun. Let's face it. Thrillers are not just scene after scene of answers and resolution. They're 98 percent suspense, and we watch and wait for them because getting to the conclusion makes for better stories than the conclusion itself.
Either way, I'm still an impatient person who prefers to fast forward to the end before watching the rest of the movie. I can't wait to hear the resolution.

You've got this silly way of keeping me on the edge of my seat
