Probationary pranks

I am still currently playing an April Fool's Day prank on my boss. The only problem is that I don't have the drive to keep it going. I had to end it before it got good.

Basically, David used the name of a person in one of his stories to create a fake e-mail address. I used this addy to write an e-mail about how David Dinsmore made up quotes for the story using my name. I demanded a retraction and apology. David's boss then made him call me to apologize using the number provided in the e-mail -- which was actually David's number.

David left a message when people were around to hear it. At that point, he realized he didn't have the commitment necessary to see it all the way through. So I sent another message with many mean remarks that subtly let on that this was all just an April Fool's prank.

David is now awaiting a response. Maybe he should have waited until he is three-month probationary runs out next week. This could affect his review.

This is so brilliant. We were all cracking up about it in the newsroom the other day.
