I forgot to mention that last Sunday I co-hosted a local TV show. It features highlights from little league sports. This time of year it consists of mostly baseball -- which is just another sport I know nothing about.
I don't even know why they put me on there. When we were recording the voice overs for the highlights, I didn't know what "gets the K" meant in the script -- and I wasn't looking at the screen -- so I said someone stole second base.
The producer stopped the recording, laughed heartily and told me it meant a strike out. He then told me to say the phrase verbatim as it was in the script and the people watching would understand what "gets the K" meant.
I argued that some wouldn't because I sure as monkey feces didn't.
