Actually, 7-10 was the last half of my split shift today. I came in early to hit the polls to see how and why people were voting like they did. Some of my material may even end up in other Gannett newspapers, inculding USA Today's Web site.
I took off mid-afternoon, got some Greek food at a place I didn't know we had and played tennis with Amy and her mom.
When we went to Circuit City, an editor called me about a fire outside the city. We left Circuit City -- which just opened here, so yea -- and rushed home so I could change and get back up here to finish my shift.
