So my sleight of hand classes are really paying off. I just blew a referral's mind by making a pen appear as if from nowhere. She was so impressed, she gave me an order on the spot.

Truth is, I accidentally took the pen I didn't realize was hers off the counter it was laying on and had it in my pocket clipped to the rim. When I realized she must be looking for it, I just pulled the pen out quickly and said "You mean this pen?" I didn't mean to make it sound mysterious, but twirling my mustache deviously as I said it probably didn't help.

Oh well. If they want to call me David "Copperfield" Dinsmore in that office, who am I to stop them? But it does concern me that someone in her profession could be so inattentive.
